Niburu London

Film, Music, Media, Health and Wellbeing projects | Serving the Enfield community

Niburu was founded in 2004, we are a company that promotes community involvement and have worked with a diverse range of local people and organisations.  We have facilitated a number of projects that have enhanced people’s knowledge of their local community area and encouraged a greater community involvement.

Niburu is a registered centre for delivery of Gateway Qualifications and are able to offer accredited learning opportunities to individuals who may not usually access formal or traditional education.  Delivering ‘Bite Size’ units of certificated learning, Niburu offers a mix of music and media-focused subjects, together with a range of personal and social development options.

Niburu London as it is now known is currently running the SWITCH Project which promotes intergenerational community involvement through various courses in media, music, health and wellbeing. We also offer great volunteering opportunities with all our courses.

This podcast is the result of a recent course that we held at RadioMarathon which is a day centre for adults and children with learning disabilities.  6 students over the course of 6 weeks learnt how to research, interview and plan a broadcast and then they went on to record it.

This podcast was created by a group of members of One 2 One Enfield.    This was a 5 week 2 hour course and we are very proud of the final result.

This 2 part podcast is a result of 10 members of One 2 One Enfield coming together for 5 weeks on a Friday morning.
